Canada's CBC adds Walton to professional roster
TORONTO -- The CBC has drawn on former Echo Bridge Entertainment production professional Trevor J. Walton as executive director of commissioned and scripted programming because of its British services, the Canadian pubcaster introduced Monday. The appointment works well immediately. CBC British Services executive Vice president Kirstine Stewart stated inside a statement that Walton's breath of expertise across an array of creative development and production is "a great match our current proper plan which is about delivering great Canadian content across our platforms." Walton started his career within the U.K., and many lately was an professional producer of "The Amanda Knox Story" (A&E Lifetime). As Lifetime Television's senior Vice president, he oversaw development and manufacture of the miniseries "Human Trafficking," and it has held senior professional jobs using the U.K.'s Witzsend Prods., and Fox Network and CBS within the U.S.
"CBC like a national public broadcaster has got the strong, effective and engaging platforms to showcase Canadian programming," Walton said inside a statement. "I anticipate working from individuals positions of strength to produce programs which will resonate with audiences here and tell individuals Canadian tales elsewhere."
