UPDATE 10:15 AM: Fox just released the time-adjusted fast nationals for last night’s Emmy Awards. The ceremony drew a 4.2 rating in adults 18-49, up a tenth from last year’s telecast on NBC. In adults 18-34, the show posted a 3.7 rating, the highest in four years, since the last time the Emmys aired on Fox. PREVIOUS: It is still early, but the ratings performance of last night’s Primetime Emmy Awards seems to be in line with the last three years. In the metered-market household ratings, the ceremony on Fox hosted by Jane Lynch drew a 8.5/13. It faced tough competition from the Sunday Night Football game on NBC, which logged a 12.2/19, up 3% from last year’s Week 2 game. Last year, when the Emmys aired on NBC in August before the start of the football season, the show averaged a 8.4/14 household rating. In adults 18-49, early projections peg the Emmys rating at about 4.1, same as last year. Fox has ordered time-adjusted fast nationals, which will be available within the hour.
