Bachelor Pad Winners Revealed

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- The drama concluded last night on the season finale of ABCs Bachelor Pad, and in addition to a surprising winning pair, there was also a surprise engagement announced. On-again/off-again couple Holly Durst and Michael Stagliano beat out the rest of the couples to take home the $250,000 prize, but not without a somewhat surprising --and awkward announcement. Holly and Michael might have once been engaged, but the brunette beauty who previously broke off her engagement to Michael announced that shes planning to marry fellow contestant Blake Julian. She has a firm hold on my heart, Blake, a 28-year-old dentist who came under fire for his overt flirting with Holly through the season, said. Its the most serious [relationship] that Ive ever been in [Michael] has an understanding that things are getting pretty serious. Michael, on the other hand, seemed to not know that Holly and Blake were that serious. Theyre moving [in together], right? Michael asked host Chris Harrison. We got engaged, Holly awkwardly announced. Michael appeared visibly blindsided by the news. Im sorry, thats super awkward, Michael said. Im sorry. Im shocked still so maybe a water would be great, or a commercial break. Seriously, congratulations, Im sorry. But really here? This is where I find out? Adding, I really do want Holly to be happy always, Michael said. Its okay. Following the pairs big win, Access Hollywood spoke to Holly and Blake, who said their engagement happened just days prior. It happened two days ago, she told Access. So its kind of has been a whirlwind. She had no idea, she was very surprised, Blake said of their engagement. Luckily, [shes] very happy, so that was good. I had a pretty good idea she would say yes. I was hoping, but I guess you never really know until you kind of take that leap of faith. Blake explained that they havent even begun to ponder what their wedding will look like. I havent had a lot of time to ruminate on the wedding. Its definitely something I would talk over with her, and it has only been two days, he told Access. Whether its on TV, or in a shack on the beach somewhere, I have no idea. As long as its her, thats really all that matters. He has, however, already started thinking about starting a family with Holly. Were not going to have a bunch of babies, he said.
