Manfredi to lead at NBCU

ManfrediNBCUniversal sales guru Frances Manfredi has been upped to prexy of NBCUniversal cable and new media distribution.Manfredi is responsible for many high-profile deals at NBCU over the last few years, including the $800,000-an-ep off-net sale of ''30 Rock'' in 2009 and sales of ''Law and Order,'' ''House,'' ''Las Vegas'' and ''The Office;'' she also spearheaded the sale of Universal Pictures 2011 and 2009 slates to USA and the partnership between NBCU and American Airlines.The exec also made waves with the NBCU/Netflix deal, which was the first deal to give the streaming distrib day-after rights (for superhero skein ''Heroes'').Manfredi will report dually to NBC broadcasting chairman Ted Harbert and Universal vice chairman and COO Rick Finkelstein.
